CIREBA DONATION TO THE RED CROSS

While Cayman Brac is recovering, they are still feeling the after effects of the damage caused by Hurricane Paloma.

Mr. Hermant Balgobin of the Cayman Islands Red Cross explained,

“The generous funding from CIREBA is being used in the rehabilitation process in the Brac, such as psychological support training for shelte managers, teachers, guidance, councilors, nurses, emergency technicians and Red Cross volunteers.” This is a very important part of the rehabilitation process.

CIREBA donated CI$10,000 for assistance in the Cayman Brac Relief efforts as part of their ongoing community support. The CIREBA Board stated,

“The Brac and the people of the Brac are a major part of our community, we have to all pull together to offer support to them during this time of need.” The Red Cross is hoping to use some of the funding provided by CIREBA to help pay for repairs to some of the dad homes.
