CIREBA, The Cayman Islands Real Estate Brokers Association, recently held their Annual General Meeting. During the meeting, a historical milestone was recorded in the minutes of the meeting...as Mrs. Jeanette Totten, Co-owner and Broker of Cayman Luxury Property Group, was elected President of the 2012 CIREBA Board of Directors. While females have served on the board in several capacities and have ran the day to day operations of CIREBA, this is the first time CIREBA has had a female serve as President. Jeanette commented, The role of President is one that has been filled by those CIREBA members in the community that have shaped and developed our Country. I am honored that I have been nominated and chosen by my colleagues for this position and will work with the CIREBA executive team to showcase the talents that they have. 2012 will be the year that CIREBA will shine for Real Estate Professionals in Cayman! Jeanette has been on the CIREBA Board of Directors for 10 years in which she served as Vice President twice. Of which the last was 2009/11. Michael Day was elected Vice President, from Regal Realty. Jan Tomkins from Azure Realty is Secretary and James Bovell from RE/MAX Cayman Islands continues the role of Treasurer with returning directors of the board, past President Jeremy Hurst of IRG Realty, JC Calhoun from Coldwell Banker CI Realty, Dale Crighton from Crighton Properties and Tony Catalanotto from Rainbow Realty. The Directors welcomed new member and director, Heidi Kiss from Capital Realty.
