Robert's engineering and construction background complements Jeanette's expertise in the Cayman Island's real estate market. Together, they have one of the most comprehensive understandings of development, construction, sales and real estate procedures in the Cayman Islands. In addition to having more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry--with more than 30 of those years here in the Cayman Islands--Robert holds a degree in Engineering with a minor in Business Management. Robert has had a front row seat to many of the commercial hotel and tourism projects that have evolved over the last 30 years on Grand Cayman. Most of the major projects on the island have involved Robert is some way, and this experience in these developments has provided him with a rich knowledge of the professional companies in the local construction industry, including developers, architects, surveyors and building contractors. While Robert has been involved officially in real estate for the past seven years, in an unofficial capacity he has worked closely with Jeanette on many different projects, serving as her "unpaid assistant". Robert, along with Jeanette, has given innumerable volunteer hours in support of the local Cayman Islands Little League. In addition to serving behind the plate and serving as League President, he was the architect and project manager for the 10-acre Cayman Islands Field of Dreams ballpark, which has set the standard of excellence for ballparks in the Caribbean. Jeanette and Robert Totten have one son, Jordan, who is presently pursuing his career of becoming a PGA Touring Professional. Jordan lives and trains in the United States.
