"Home is Where the Heart is" donates CI$10,000 to One Dog At A Time (ODAAT) August Donation

Through this programme CIREBA has committed to donating CI$10,000 a month to various charities and organizations until the end of 2020.

Each month the CIREBA members, which include over 240+ real estate agents and 35 brokerages, will have the chance to vote for a charity or service organisation of their choice through an anonymous survey. The charity with the most votes for that month will receive the CI$10,000 donation.

CIREBA is proud to announce that One Dog At A Time(ODAAT) received the most votes from the CIREBA members during the month of August and have been presented with a cheque for CI $10,000.

One Dog at a Time (ODAAT) is a foster based dog rescue group based in Grand Cayman which started its work towards the end of 2013 when they realized the extent of the pet overpopulation in the Cayman Islands.

ODAAT rescues unwanted dogs and puppies from the streets and the Department Of Agriculture (DOA) pound. At DOA, pound dogs that are found on the streets or surrendered by their owners are at risk of euthanasia. ODAAT raises funds through events and donations to cover the costs of vetting the dogs, spaying and neutering them, as well as treating for other issues such as heartworm or ringworm (when needed).

The donated funds will go towards paying for vet bills and buying food for all of the dogs.

CIREBA is happy to help those most in need within the Cayman community and they look forward to future monthly donations in 2020.

Those eligible for the monthly donations under the “Home is Where the Heart is” program include:
